Michigan wins Under the Lights 3 vs Penn State

In a year with few highlights, the Under The Lights Game seemed destined to be another forgettable game in the 2014 season. All in all it wasn’t pretty, two struggling teams slogged through the game and Michigan managed a win based mostly on the 2nd half defensive performance. The offense continued to be lackluster, the counter play hurt the defense early, and the special teams were steady with no miscues, but then the pass rush showed up and that really was the story of the game.

I’ve mentioned before that I have a hard time criticizing the players, so it is hard to write when the team is doing poorly, but make no mistake, I’m here for the team.  I support the team every time I’m at the stadium right down until the clock reads 0:0.  Fortunately or unfortunately I missed the Utah game so I didn’t have to suffer through the rain.  I’m not sure how I would have protected the camera.

At any rate, here are my pictures from the game, which are not to my satisfaction.  I really need to come up with a better lens/setting combo for night games.   I’ll work on that.

We brought out the big American Flags again which I like, although I think they had the nearest upside down since a big seam showed.

This counter play took us by surprise the entire first half. At least on this one the back goes wide and we stop it.

Any recap of this game would not be complete without mentioning Norfleet’s dance moves and the Atomic Dog.  Here are my shots!
